How domain management works

  • Contact details

    View and update registrant, admin, billing and technical contacts for each domain. For .uk domains, registrant changes go through Nominet directly. For all other extensions, you can edit contacts in the Client area.

  • Domain locking

    Lock a domain to prevent unauthorised transfers. Unlock it when you are ready to move. The lock status is visible and editable from the domain settings screen.

  • DNS records

    Edit nameservers, A records, MX records, CNAME records and more. With or without a hosting package.

  • WHOIS privacy

    Your personal details are hidden from public WHOIS lookups automatically on every Krystal domain, at no extra cost. There’s no need to opt in. If you want your details to be public, you can opt out at any time.

  • Renewals and auto-renew

    Set each domain to renew automatically or manage it yourself. Auto-renew raises an invoice at least seven days before the expiry date and charges your stored payment method when renewal falls due. Switch it on or off per domain from your dashboard.

  • Domain transfers

    Move domains to or from Krystal. We provide the tools, the transfer codes and the support. We don’t charge transfer fees or exit fees.
