NVMe Block Storage
with triple-copy redundancy

Krystal Cloud NVMe storage gives you Block Storage volumes that attach directly to your VMs. Each distributed storage cluster provides around 500 TB of capacity and approximately 4 million IOPS, creating substantial performance capacity for I/O-intensive workloads. Every block is written in three copies across a distributed cluster, so if a node fails your data is already replicated and your VM recovers immediately. Provision what you need, resize at any time and pay per gigabyte.

How Krystal Cloud Block Storage works

A Block Storage volume attaches to a VM like a physical disk. The VM sees a raw block device it can format and mount, which makes it the right layer for boot volumes, database files and application data that one VM needs fast, direct access to.

When to use Block Storage

Use it for database disks, boot and system volumes, build caches, and any application data that needs low-latency access from a single VM.

Look elsewhere if you need the same data mounted across several VMs at once, where File Storage fits better. If you’re storing large unstructured assets that don’t need to be a mounted disk, Object Storage costs less per gigabyte.

What you get with Block Storage

Triple-copy redundancy

Every block is written three times across a distributed cluster, with no single point of failure. If a node fails, your data is already replicated and your VM recovers immediately.

Disk snapshots

Two disk snapshots per disk are included as standard. Add offsite backups on separate infrastructure for a second copy.

Resize on demand

Grow a volume as your data grows. Billing adjusts per gigabyte, and you only pay for what you provision.

Built on the Krystal Cloud storage platform

Cloud Block Storage attaches to the VMs you already run. The NVMe speed doesn't come from a disk bolted to a single host. It's delivered from the same distributed storage platform that runs the rest of Krystal Cloud, so a volume isn't tied to one compute node or storage appliance. You get low-latency NVMe access and distributed resilience together, across data centres in London, Amsterdam and New York. For the full platform detail, see Krystal Cloud Storage.
